Karen Ann Davis

October 11, 1978 — January 9, 2014

Shelter Bay On January 9, 2014, we lost our Karen due to a brief illness. She was a daughter to Wayne and Shelley (McQuisten) Davis; sister to her brothers Chris and Ben and sisters Kim and Megan; and Best Auntie Ever to Alexi and Sabia. And she loved her baby bird Tweety. Karen was preceded in death by father Wayne. Well Karen, how do you say good bye to your daughter? I will see you later and chew you out for leaving me. My heart is broken in a million pieces. I will miss our conversations at home with you trying to explain the world to me - new technology, our crazy shopping trips to Marquette, everything. I love you Karen. With that said ... Stop the clock,Cut off the phones,Silence the Pianos,Scribble in the sky... she is gone. She was our North, South, East, West,Our Sunday Best,Stars are not wanted - shake them out of the sky,Pack up the Moon,Tell to sun not to shine,Sweep up the ocean for nothing from there can come.Mom loves you.Karen's sisters remember - her knock-knock jokes; her love for horses, Brad Pitt, chocolate and caramel; her big love for reading; keeping her little sister in penguins; her love for board games - they all would pick sticks to see who would lose the board game with Karen. She loved little sayings on T-shirts and she tried to love her big squeeze hugs from her brother Ben.  Her friends will remember her being very humble about things, sticking by them through thick and thin, her integrity, character, her vanilla bean lotion, and her big, big heart. Karen was a 1997 graduate of Munising High School and attended Ferris State University. She was employed at the Econo-Lodge and the Deerton Post Office. Private family services will be held. Love you and will miss you.
