Karen E. Smith, age 59, of Seney, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at her home with her husband at her side following a brief illness. She was born on July 2, 1953 in Midland, MI to the late Henry and Marian (Schmidt) Schneider. Karen graduated from Midland High School. She married Andy Smith on August 31, 1998. She was an auxiliary member of the Berry Hill VFW Post 165 in Midland. Karen enjoyed looking for agates, fishing, trips to casinos, and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of fourteen years - Andy; children - Jamie and Eric (Tiffany) Smith of Midland; grandchildren - Caleb, Caden, Logan, and Alaina; siblings - Jane, Babs, Marilyn, and Henry . Karen is preceded in death by her parents, and brother John.
