Katherine "Cass" D. Lewis, age 87, of Munising formerly of Lansing, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Superior Health Haven in Munising. She was born on December 2, 1920 to the late Arthur and Ruth (Perkins) Ribble. Katherine retired from Michigan State University after working for many years in the Continual Education Department. After retirement she was able to pursue her art work and writing of children books.
Katherine is survived by her two sons - Mike (Gayle) Murphy of Coloma, MI and Doug (Sheila) Murphy of Christmas, MI; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Edithmary Tucker of Hayward, CA. She was preceded in death by husbands - Lester "Shorty" Murphy, Walt Busley, and Harry Lewis; son - John (Elke) Murphy; and sister Alice Mancier of Troy, MI.
