Kenneth G. Lemke

December 7, 1936 — March 5, 2014

Munising Kenneth G. Lemke, 77 of Munising, MI, formerly of Grafton, WI, passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at the Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, following a short illness. Kenneth was born in Milwaukee, WI son of the late Laverne and Gertrude Haase Lemke. He was married to Linda Hytinen of Trenary, MI in December 1958 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, WI. Kenneth started his working career as a research laboratory technician and later became a purchasing agent for an electronics manufacturer in Grafton. He eventually followed his passion in real estate, establishing Lynwood Realty/Company as a realtor-builder in the Wisconsin and Arizona markets. Ken enjoyed traveling especially to Germany, where the couple had made many trips. He also had a great love for woodworking, boating and the outdoors and of all things, shopping for a good deal. He had a special fondness for 16 Mile Lake where upon retirement he designed and built their current home. Above all else, talking about and spending time with his children and grandchildren was what he enjoyed most. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, and their 6 children: Wendy of Denver, CO, Cindy (Dale) of Wood Dale, IL, Amy of Denver, CO, Douglas of Tucson, AZ, Kathy of Phoenix, AZ and Kenneth (Nell) of New Berlin, WI; and 4 grandchildren, Emily, John Kenneth, Margaret and Andrew. Preceding him in death besides his parents was his sister Ruth Ursic. ***Pastor Paul Kelto will conduct Kenneth's graveside service on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mathias Township Cemetery in Trenary.***
