Larry E. Besaw

Larry E. Besaw, age 57, of Shingleton, died peacefully at the Trillium Hospice House in Marquette with his mom by his side on Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022.  He was born on July 26, 1965 in Gary, Indiana to Donald “Duck” and Janet (Milton) Besaw.  Larry grew up in Shingleton and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1984.  He served in the U.S. Army. Larry was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and worked in Munising, San Diego, Illinois, and New Mexico.   He enjoyed playing euchre and traveling.  Larry would just hop in the car and go.  He was a “tinkerer” and would take computers and cars apart just so he could put them back together.  Larry enjoyed listening to classic rock and he enjoyed eating with family.

Larry is survived by two daughters – Jacqueline Hance and Johnah Wyant; grandchildren; parents - Duck and Janet Besaw of Shingleton; sisters – Denise (Gerry) Eliason of Ashland, WI, Cindy (Duane Ellsworth) Besaw of Pittsfield, MA, and Holly Berndt of Twin Lake, MI; niece and nephews – Carol, Bobby, Andy, and Josh; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visiting time with family and friends will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
