Larry D. Faucette, age 44, of Munising and formerly of Katy, Texas, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his family home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 5, 1967 in Munising, Michigan to Eugene and Wanda (Stone) Faucette. Larry graduated from Munising High School in 1986. He then entered into the United States Army, where he was stationed Fort Wainwright in Alaska and was honorably discharged. Larry then moved to Katy, Texas where he worked for MIS as a Service Technician in telecommunications, and as a private contractor. He was a helpful, kind, and loving man with his family and friends. Larry enjoyed fishing, being out in nature, cooking on the grill, eating spicy food, and calling home often.
He is survived by his mother - Wanda Faucette of Munising; siblings - Gene (Sharon)Faucette of Katy, TX, Becky (James Murdock) Faucette, Sylvia (Wade) Roberts, and Julie (Lorne) Goodrich, all of Munising; nieces and nephews - Kaitlyn, Monica, Derek, Jessica (Steven), Eugenia , Miranda (J.) Brandon, Brian, Peter, Natasha (Jamin) Trisha, and Travis; six great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents - George and Grace Faucette and Jennie and Wayne Sr. Fleming; father - Gene Faucette; uncle -Ronald Faucette and numerous other aunts and uncles; and nephew Ali Stark.
Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and the service will be at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors and Chuck Tooman will conduct committal prayers.
