Wetmore
Laurie Fralick Clark, age 53, of Wetmore, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Marquette General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on March 1, 1958 in Taylor, Michigan to the late Leon and Marie (Wright) Fralick. Laurie grew up in Taylor and moved to VanMeer in the early 1980's. She worked at the Tanglewood, Best Western, BP, and in the kitchen at Tendercare. Laurie was a homemaker and babysat out of her home for many years. She married John Clark and together they enjoyed taking rides in the woods and bird hunting. Laurie was a great friend who was always reliable. She was down to earth, giving, quick witted with a wonderful (yet sarcastic) sense of humor, and she was not afraid to let you know what she was thinking. Laurie enjoyed taking trips, going to the casino, backseat driving, and attending country music concerts. She enjoyed watching her daughter Sarah play softball and she loved spending her Saturdays with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband - John Clark of Wetmore; daughter and son-in-law - Sarah and Chad Vieth of Shingleton; grandchildren - Destinee, Lexi, and Garrett; sister-in-law - Wanda Fralick; and nieces - Tracy and Lisa. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, son Brian Fralick in 1999, mother-in-law Marie Clark, and brother Joe Fralick.
Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pastor Robert Tripp will conduct Laurie's funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore in the spring.
