Linda Marie Bower, age 72, of Munising, died following a lengthy illness on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025 at Munising Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1952 in Munising to Walter and Catherine (Bouchard) Bower, Sr. Linda was raised in Munising and went to Wm. G. Mather High School. She lived in various places while raising her family before returning home. Linda worked as a housekeeper in many of the local hotels. She loved rearranging and decorating her home. Linda enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed creating, crocheting, crafting, shopping, and taking trips to the casino.
Linda is survived by her children – Robin D. Vande Zande, David A. (Audry) Beauchamp, Albert R. (Anne) Beauchamp, and Kathy D. (Phil) Parkkila; her mother – Catherine Johnson; grandchildren – Ryan Vande Zande, Nicholas Vande Zande, Trevor Maxon, Shannon Beauchamp, Jordan Beachamp, and Sarah Takaki; granddaughter-in-law – Sarah Vande Zande; great-grandchildren Ava Vande Zande, Evelyn Padilla, Maverick Padilla, Amber Takaki, Robert Takaki, and Benjamin Takaki; brother – Walter “Wally” (Kris) Bower, Jr., and nephews – Joshua Bower, Jamie Richardson, and Eugene (Jenny) Campbell. She is preceded in death by her father – Walter Earl Bower, Sr.; stepfathers Jerry Elya and Edward Johnson, grandsons Andrew Maxon and Rob Vande Zande; sister Kathy Payan; and niece Angela Campbell.
