Lois Marie Dorenbecker

Lois Marie Dorenbecker, age 82, of 410 Birch Street, died on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 10:55 a.m. at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on July 2, 1923 in Munising to Harry "Chub" and Marion (Bowerman) Burrows. Lois married Robert "Dorny" Dorenbecker on October 30, 1948. She was a homemaker and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Munising. Lois loved to play golf, crochet, and read. She was a huge Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings fan. Lois also loved Mickey Mouse and had a huge collection of Mickey Mouse items.
Lois is survived by her husband - Dorny who now resides at Jacobetti; daughter and son-in-law - Bobbi Jo and Thomas Bailey of Munising; granddaughters - Brianne Bailey of Munising and Blaine (B.J.) Johns of Jackson, Michigan; great-grandchildren - Tiffany Bailey, Damian Vanderschaegen, and Maddison Johns; sister - Charlotte (Yosh) Wapienik of Marquette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brian Bailey, brother Chester Burrows, and sister Norma Engel.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Rev. Calvin Fahrion will conduct Lois' funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lois to the First Presbyterian Church of Munising.
