Munising Margaret "Margie" E. Trythall, age 92, of Munising and formerly of Redford Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Detroit on August 23, 1921 to John and Nellie (Coleman) Thompson. Margaret graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit. She worked as a secretary and then married Thomas John Trythall on September 23, 1945. Margaret was a homemaker and together they raised their two daughters. They were married over fifty years when he preceded her in death on November 6, 1995. She was a member of the Dearborn Chapel and for over forty years, Margaret played the piano at the church where she accompanied many Easter and Christmas concerts. She also played in a ladies trio that traveled throughout Lower Michigan and Canada. Margaret enjoyed flowers and gardening, but her family was her life. A few years ago, she left Redford and moved to the Munising area to be closer to her family. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law - Linda and Ron Kent of Munising and Joyce and Brian Behnken of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren - Todd (Bobbi) Kent, Jason (Jeanette) Kent, Amy (Bruce) Leutscher, Christy (Matt) Redmer and Jessica (Andy) Coulon; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother - Donald (Tanya) Thompson; step-sister - Marilyn (Dale) Selby; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, sister Ruth Mason and numerous other relatives. A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Munising Baptist Church in Wetmore following Sunday's worship service. Margaret's service will begin at 11:45 a.m. Memorial donations are requested to be made to the Munising Baptist School Scholarship Fund.
