Marguerite "Marti" (Beidleman) Selle

Marguerite “Marti” Selle, age 70, of Marquette, died late Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019 at her home in Marquette.  She was born on May 25, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Elizabeth (Zemper) Beidleman.  Marti grew up in the Toledo area and went to Kent State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  It was at Kent State where she met and married Thomas Selle.  Tom and Marti moved around while he was stationed in the US Air Force and they had two children together.  While stationed at different bases, Marti worked as a substitute teacher.  She worked at Peninsula Pharmacy and the for Marquette Radiology for many years.  Years ago, Marti bowled in a league in Marquette.  She spent a lot of time with her son and grandson while Nate was stationed and living in Germany.  Marti was an avid reader and loved her pets.

She is survived by her children – Sara (Mark) Wilson of Munising and Nathan Selle of Germany; grandsons – Kevin Selle and Will Wilson; brother – Robert Beidleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Marti was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Bill and Mike Beidleman.

Visiting time with family and friends will be at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.  A fellowship luncheon will be at the Munising Township Hall in Wetmore following the visitation.
