Marie Aino Aho

Marie Aino Aho, age 94, of Palm Bay, Florida and formerly of AuTrain, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Bethesda Assisted Living Center in Palm Bay. She was born in Finland on May 17, 1917 and moved to the U.S. as a young child. On November 27, 1948, Marie married Charles "Charlie" Oliver Aho. She retired from the State of Michigan after twenty-eight years of service. When Charlie retired from Chrysler, they moved to the U.P. Marie was a member of the Eden Lutheran Church. She loved playing card and the U.P. Marie was a great cook and made the best pasties AuTrain ever saw. She and Charlie were married over fifty-four years when he preceded her in death on January 22, 2003. She will be sadly missed by those who love her.

Marie is survived by her daughters - Elizabeth (Cote) Tygesen of Melbourne, FL and Sharon Cote of Marquette; son - Charles "Chuck" Aho, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren -Denise Thibodeau of Melbourne, Dawn Conner of Sanford, NC, Evonne (Gary) Carney of LaPorte, TX and Robert Cote, Jr. of San Antonio, TX ; great-grandchildren - Danielle Thibodeau of Charlotte, NC, Zachary (April) Derrah of Sanford, and Andrew Carney of LaPorte; great-great-grandson - Nathan Derrah; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends - Chico and Dolly Morin. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie, son Robert Cote, grandson Bradley Hallums; two brothers and two sisters.

Burial will take place at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Chatham.
