Marie Mae Clark, age 62, of Cedar Street, Wetmore, died following a brief illness on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:05 p.m. at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born in Munising on November 20, 1946 to the late Wesley and Ina Clark. Marie graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School and worked in Sault Ste. Marie as a nurse's aide. She returned to Munising to raise her son John and was a homemaker. Marie once again lived a few years in Sault Ste. Marie before she was in car accident and returned to the Munising area to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and travelling when she was able.
Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law - John and Laurie Clark of Wetmore; granddaughter - Sarah (Chad) Vieth of Shingleton; great-grandchildren - Destinee and Lexi; brothers - Don Clark of Tecumseh, MI and Bob Clark of Colorado; sister - June (Don) Maddox of Melstrand; four nieces; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Brian Fralick Clark.
Services will held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Pastor Jason LaFlamme will conduct Marie's funeral service in the funeral home's chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore.
