Mary A. Minogue, age 87, of Washington Street, Munising, died on Ash Wednesday, February 6, 2008 under the loving care of her niece, Pat Gibson, and North Woods Hospice at Pat's home on Sand Point Road. Mary was born on January 27, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Anna (Gallagher) Minogue. She graduated from Immaculata High School in Chicago and was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church and then St. Ita's Catholic Church for over forty years. Mary worked for Marsh and McLennan Company for many years and retired from there. She moved to Munising five years ago to be closer to her sister and she attended Sacred Heart Church with her niece. Mary enjoyed shopping in Chicago and she enjoyed helping and running errands for Catherine and Pat.
She is survived by her sister - Catherine Raymond of Munising; brother - William (Deliliah) Minogue of Chicago; many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents James and Anna, brothers James O. and Joseph P. Minogue, sister Hannah Underwood, niece Mary Ann Vergin, and nephew Raymond P. Underwood.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Church in Des Plaines, IL on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin following the visitation at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the All Saints Cemetery following the service.
