Munising
MaryJo Albright, age 69, of Munising and formerly of Holliday, TX, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at UPHS Marquette following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 19, 1951 in Munising to the late Ernest and Goldie (Sample) Steinhoff. MaryJo married Russel Henry Albright in September of 1972 and together they raised their son Michael. She worked as a housekeeper at the Starlight Motel and Hillcrest for many years and then later did daycare out of her home. MaryJo went back to school and completed her GED at Munising High School in 1989 graduating with her son Mike. She and Russ lived in Florida, Sault Ste. Marie, and later settled in Holliday, TX for sixteen years, before returning to Munising in 2016. MaryJo was a talented singer and great cook and baker. She enjoyed camping, visiting with friends, getting her nails done, and cuddling with her lap dogs.
MaryJo is survived by her son and daughter-in-law – Mike and Michele Albright of Munising; grandchildren – Kayla (Dylan) Koenig, Ian Albright, and Keira Albright; great-granddaughter – Elliot Rose Koenig; brother – James (Carolyn) Steinhoff; in-laws – Richard, Elmer, David, and James Albright, Carrie Fleming, Doris Steigal, Elizabeth Rutherford, and Dorothy Mohler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband – Russel Albright; parents - Ernest and Goldie; grandson – Devin Albright; sisters – Sharon (Ernie) Burley and Beverly (Wayne) Tufnell; and brother-in-law – Ismah Albright.
