Michael J. Flynn, age 43, of Trenary and formerly of Los Angeles and Chicago, died unexpectedly following a brief illness on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 7:35 a.m. at Marquette General Hospital. He was born in Marquette on December 23, 1965 in Marquette to Jack and Carole (Quarfoot) Flynn. Michael attended the Illinois School for the Deaf and then graduated from Arlington High School in Illinois. He moved back and forth from L.A. to Chicago and moved to Trenary to be with is mom in October. Michael worked as a dog groomer, worked at Marshalls, and went to cosmetology school. He always wanted to change his family's hairstyles. He loved animals, especially dogs. Michael was funny and would always make family and friends laugh. He had a great hearty laugh and he loved being with his nieces and nephew.
Michael is survived by his mother - Carole Ashley of Trenary; father - Jack Flynn of Munising; sister - Mary Jo (Dave) Webb of Peoria, AZ; grandmother - Ann Quarfoot of Trenary; nephew David Webb and nieces Jenny and Nicole Webb all of Arizona; uncles - Bob and Tom Quarfoot and Gary (Yvonne) Flynn; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Earl Quarfoot, Elsie and Clarence Flynn, and his Aunt Penny Trobridge.
Private family services were held at the Bowerman Funeral Home.
