Milo Duane Steinhoff

Milo D. Steinhoff, age 66, of Au Train, died Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at UP Health System of Marquette surrounded by his family.  He was born on December 13th, 1956 in Wayne, Michigan to the late Wallace “Speck” and Olga (Knaus) Steinhoff.  His family moved to Munising in 1960.  He graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1975. Milo married his high school sweetheart Lola (Sisco) Steinhoff on May 28th, 1977.  Together they raised 3 children. Milo drove log truck and together with his brother Earl they formed their own logging company named S & S Forest Products. On the weekends Milo enjoyed hanging out on his boat with his family.  During retirement Milo enjoyed working in his work shop and followed in his father’s footsteps with turning beautiful wood bowls on his lathe.

Milo is survived by his wife of forty-six-years– Lola Steinhoff of Au Train; children – Dana (Randy) Steinhoff of Au Train, Kerri (Scott) Kulczynski of Virginia, and Brad Steinhoff of Christmas; grandchildren – Caiden, Keira and Liam; sisters-in-law Pam Steinhoff and Jane Steinhoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents Speck and Olga, and sister Roberta “Bobbie” Ann (Nick) Barevich. brothers – Wally Steinhoff and Earl Steinhoff.

A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.
