Trenary
Monia Virginia Rucinski, 56 of Trenary, died after a lengthy illness on Sunday, early evening October 8, 2006. She was born February 28, 1950 in Lewisville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Wilson) Freeman. Monia married Richard Rucinski December 16, 1966 in Warren, Michigan. They were married for 37 years. He preceded her in death June 16, 2004. Ric and Monia moved to Trenary in 1979 and she lived there for 27 years. She helped her husband with their business, "Well One Inc." She was a housewife and super cool, fun mom to all the kids in Trenary, as well as her own three kids growing up in Trenary. Monia always had a house full. She drove school bus for Trenary and Superior Central School District for 23 years. She was very active in the community; and helped her husband raise money for the Trenary Little League. She loved NASCAR racing. She especially loved her grandson Ric, and daughter Stacy.
Surviving are daughter Stacy M. Rucinski (Adam Markie) of Richmond, Michigan and grandson Richard S. Rucinski - son Zygmunt J. Rucinski; Mike Bayus of Utica; James LaChance of Trenary - three sisters, Leona (David) Heythaler of Warren, MI; Carol Segall-Briggs (Larry) of Quincy, MI; Linda (Lyle) Christian of Bronson, MI; 19 nieces and nephews - 37 great-nieces and nephews - several friends and best friend Lee Penberthy. Beside her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Richard R. Rucinski II, and brother Jim.
Her family has chosen to honor the memory of Monia and invite you to visit and share Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 12:00 noon until the time of her funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising.
