Nancy Ann Watson, age 76, of Munising, died early Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at Munising Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1941 in Munising to Ferret and Ila (Rexstrew) Watson. Nancy grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1959. She earned her L.P.N. degree from Northern Michigan University and served her internship in Menominee. She worked as a nurse at the State Hospital in Newberry, St. Luke’s in Marquette, and the V.A. Hospital in Dayton, OH. Nancy returned back to Munising after her retirement. She loved reading and taking pictures.
She is survived by her siblings - Anna (John) Madison of Munising, Cecil (Connie) Watson of Florida, Mary (Ferdinand) Lundberg of North Carolina, Patricia Watson of Munising, and Ruth Watson of Nevada; aunt – Marion (Bob) Coryell of Munising; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Barbara Watson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Munising with Rev. Sandra Kolder officiating.
