Nick William Cromell, age 63, of Munising, died on Tuesday afternoon, October 27, 2015 at U.P. Health System in Marquette following a lengthy illness. He was born in Munising on December 1, 1951 to James and Patricia (Perry) Cromell. Nick was raised in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1970. He attended Central Michigan University and worked for the National Park Service, Kewadin Casino, and Citgo. Nick married Shirley Goodrich and was an important and supportive influence in helping raise her son, Richard. Nick was an avid sportsman and enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and Munising Mustangs. Nick was a friend to all.
He is survived by his mother - Patricia Cromell of Munising; stepson - Richard (Leslie) Goodrich of Green Bay; brothers and sisters-in-law - Steve and Deb Cromell of Munising and Dick and Carol Cromell of Suamico, WI; stepgrandchildren - Devyn, Emma, Kynlee, and Elliot; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nick was preceded in death by his father, Jim Cromell, and longtime companion, Shirley Cromell.
Private family services will be held at a later date and interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
