Pat Chevrette

Munising / Whitewater, WI

Patricia Chevrette completed her journey on earth on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home in Whitewater, WI under the loving care of her daughters and Rainbow Hospice. Pat was born in Munising, MI on June 25, 1933 to the late Harold and Pheby (Courter) Gamble. Pat graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1950. She married William Chevrette on September 2, 1950 and they were married for 53 years when he passed away on November 23, 2003. Pat and Bill owned and operated Chevie's News from 1953 until they moved to Denver, CO in 1969. After Bill completed his PhD in 1973, they moved to Whitewater, WI. Pat was a dedicated employee at Opportunities, Inc. from 1974 to 1993.

Pat bowled for many years and served as an officer for JCWBA. She was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, WI and was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Munising, MI.

Pat is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Vicky and Richard Ghislain of Fort Atkinson, WI and Lisa and Alex Arechiga of Brentwood, CA, grandchildren Nicole Ghislain Riddell (Chris Behrens) of Whitewater, WI, Michael Ghislain of Fort Atkinson, WI and Alex, Anthony, Desie, and Clarissa Arechiga of Brentwood, CA. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Rod) Smith, Gladys Dolaskie, Ellouise Hieftje and Connie (Paul) Craven, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She will also be greatly missed by her faithful companion, Peeksie.

Waiting to greet her in heaven besides her beloved husband, Bill, and her parents are her sister, Velma Park, brothers Harvey Gamble, Glenn Gamble and Alvin Gamble as well as her beloved grandson Mitch Henry, nieces Julie Smith and Connee Ward Fejer and her mother and father-in-law Charles and Florence Chevrette. Pat will be remembered for being a gracious lady with a warm and generous heart, for her love of life, and for the deep love she had for her family.

There will be a visitation at Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson, WI on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 with a prayer service at 7:00. On Friday, July 23, 2010, there will be a visitation at Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising, MI from 10:00 until 12:00 noon with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Chris Gardiner at Sacred Heart Church at 12:10 p.m. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising, MI. Memorials in memory of Pat may be made to Rainbow Hospice, Inc., 147 W. Rockwell St., Jefferson, WI 53549.
