Patricia "Pat" E. Lilly, age 83, of Chatham woke up in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2010 with her loving daughter at her side. She was born on April 16, 1927 in Lansing, MI to the late Leo and Nettie (Harding) Morris. Pat graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing in 1945. On July 16, 1946 she married Norman R. Lilly and together they raised their four children. Pat and Norman moved to Indian River in 1978 to enjoy their retirement together. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. Pat was very active in her church wherever she lived; teaching Sunday school and being involved in the choir. She was a faithful member of the Holt Baptist Church, Indian River Baptist Church, and the Limestone Baptist Church.
Pat is survived by her four children - Paulette (John) Hoy of Chatham, MI, PattyAnne Zaremba of Toledo, OH, Pamela (Dennis) Tyner of Auburndale, FL, and N. Scott (Aimee) Lilly of Vernon Hills, IL; eight grandchildren - Heather (Pete), John, Shannon (Jay), Sierra, Amanda (Adam), T.J., Zachary (Heather), and Ellen (Donny); seven great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband - Norman in 2005; parents - Leo and Nettie; and siblings - Walter, Richard, and Anna.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Limestone Baptist Church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ted Jolls and Pastor Albert Sundberg will perform Pat's memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
