Patricia May Rigsby

Eben Patricia May Rigsby, age 76, of Eben died on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Marquette General Hospital following a nine month illness. She was born on March 17, 1938 in Eben to the late Into and Hilma (Maki) Koski. Pat grew up in the area and attended school in Eben. When Pat and her family were growing up, her father died and her mother's health declined so she helped raise her younger siblings. She became a mom to them and as their families grew, she became a grandmother to her nieces and nephews. Pat had lived in Lansing and then Ohio where she married Raymond Rigby in 1963 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She worked as a home health care giver and truly was a caregiver to all she knew. Pat enjoyed reading, drawing, and she was a talented artist. Throughout all of the places she lived, Jimmy Swaggert Ministries was her home church. As Pat's health began to decline, she wanted to come home and she and her family recently moved back to Eben. She is survived by her siblings - Alvin Koski, Bonnie (Harry) Moore, and Sandra Rasmussen all of Eben; niece - Tianna Koski of Eben who helped take care of Pat and who Pat helped raise; she was Grandma to Michael (Angie) Moore and Amy (Jody) Collins; aunts - Aune Juntunen, Arlene Keskimaki, Alma Luoma, Aili Peach; numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins around the country. Pat was preceded in death by her parents - Into Koski and Hilma Koski Sippila; sisters - Violet Willett, Joyce Willett, Beverly Caswell; brother-in-law - Steve Rasmussen; and great-grandson - Trace Clark.   **A public graveside service will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Chatham on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 12:00 noon.
