Munising Aunt Pauline Cornish, age 85, of Harbour View - 1518 Sand Point Road, Munising, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 7:07 a.m. at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on January 29, 1921 to Fred and Edith (Benoit) Morin. She married Harold F. Cornish on June 28, 1941. Pauline worked at the Munising Paper Company for a few years in 1950's. She loved being with her family. She loved to square dance, play cards, do crossword puzzles, and do needle point. She lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona for a number of years before moving back to Munising in the early 1990's. Pauline resided at Harbour View Assisted Living at the time of her death. The staff there was her second family. Pauline was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by her twin brother, Paul "Pee Wee" (Donna) Morin and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Fred and Edith Morin, sisters Orvilla Vardon and Jeanette Robins, brothers Alsid, Chester, Chine Harold, Gerald, and Wilferd Morin.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Father Chris Gardiner on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising. Interment was at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
