Pauline Mary (Slambo) Webber

Pauline Mary Webber, age 98, of Trenary, died on Monday morning, November 7, 2016 at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba.  She was born in Trenary, Michigan on July 14, 1918 to Steven and Lena (Hawthorne) Slambo and she graduated from Trenary High School in 1937. Pauline married John Daniel Webber.  She was a homemaker and raised their eight children.  Pauline served as the Mathias Township Treasurer for many years.  She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church.

Pauline is survived by five children – John “Patrick” Webber of St. Paul Park, MN, Nancy M. (Bob) Brant of Gladstone, MI, Steve (Donna) Webber of Escanaba, Kathleen (James) Hughes of Escanaba, and Maureen Webber of Escanaba; daughter-in-law – Shirley Webber of Escanaba; 17 grandchildren – Debra, Patti, Scott, Brian, Steve, Dan, Joan, Tracy, Lorie, Matt, Jason, Jennifer, Brett, Becky, Justin, Jodie, and Rhonda; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; sons Mike, Jim, and Tom Webber; grandsons – Paul Ely, Jr. and John S. Webber; great-grandchildren – Cory and Jessica Ely; sisters – Helen (Dan) Malnar and Theresa (Steve) Malnar; parents-in-law – Joseph and Anna Webber; brothers and sisters-in-law – George (Pauline B.) Webber, Ralph (Helen) Webber, and Irene (Charlie) Zurawski.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Trenary at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be at the Mathias Township Cemetery in Trenary.
