Polly Sue Phillips – Frasure, age 67, of Grand Marais, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 21, 2018 at her home in Grand Marais.  She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 24, 1951 to the late Robert and Patricia (Moses) Phillips.  Polly moved to Grand Marais and worked for Grand Marais Apartments, first as maintenance and then manager.  Polly was a member of the Grand Marais Mennonite Church, and her church family was very important to her.  She would volunteer at the food pantry with members from the church, and would host special holiday dinners for residents at the apartment if they didn’t have a place to go.  Polly enjoyed ceramics, playing on her computer, and spoiling her cats.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law - Rob Harbaum and Lea Ward-Harbaum of Grand Marais, daughter-in-law - Trudy Harbaum of Boyne City, MI, grand children – Bryce (Heather), LeRoy (Elizabeth), Chaese, Mark, and Zackery Ward-Harbaum, Chris (Milla) Starns, Tyler Harbaum, and Tabbetha (Sebastian) Warner; great-grandchildren – Lillian, Grason, Christopher, plus two more on the way; siblings – Tom (Elizabeth) Phillips and Sally (Safwan) Barakat; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son Timothy Harbaum.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.  Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais.  Condolences may be sent to Rob at N9791 Ames Lake Rd., Seney, MI 49883.
