Raymond "Butch" Morin

Raymond “Butch” Morin, age 78, of Munising, died following a lengthy illness on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at UPHS – Marquette. Butch was born on November 7, 1946 in Munising to Chester and Elna (Aho) Morin. He grew up in Munising and went to work in the woods as a young man. Butch enjoyed hunting deer and grouse, and he loved fishing the Anna River. He married Patricia “Patty” Williams on September 21, 1985 and together they enjoyed berry picking, fishing, picnicking, and the outdoors of the Upper Peninsula. They were married thirty-six years when she preceded him in death on August 16, 2022. Butch loved watching sports and cheering on the Munising Mustangs. He was a Detroit fan of everything.

Butch is survived by nieces – Terri Dilts, Angel Arntz, and Lori Lukowski; nephews – Tony Morin, Kevin Morin, and Jeff Lukowski; numerous great nieces and nephews; many cousins including Ralph “Bo” Senecal who was the same age and lifelong friend in addition to being related; brother-in-law -Jim Lukowski; and sister-in-law – Dolly Morin. He was preceded in death by his parents Chink and Elna Morin, wife Patty, brother Chico Morin, and sister Dolly Lukowski.
