Richard Ezra Albright, age 66, of Munising, passed away on December 8, 2021 at UP Health Systems in Marquette, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 26, 1955 in Alpena, Michigan to the late James and Opal (Britton) Albright.  Richard was a mechanic, specializing in heavy equipment.  He had worked at a number of places including Arne Moe, Nebel Building & Supply, and the Alger County Road Commission.  Richard was a volunteer fireman for the Munising Township Fire Department from 1977-1984.  Richard moved to Texas where he worked as a mechanic at Freeman Paving from 1990 – 2017.  He retired and returned to the U.P.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed hobby farming, hunting, and tinkering with all types of vehicles.

Richard is survived by his two daughters – Laura Anne (Jason) Dusseault and Adriane Lynn (Mike Morrow) Albright; grandchildren – Cameron, Caylee, and Jack Dusseault and Olivia Morrow; brothers – James (Cheryl), Elmer (Diane), and David (Lisa) Albright; sisters – Carrie Hancock, Doris Stigall, Elizabeth Laverty, and Dorothy (Eric) Mohler; sister-in-law – Sharon Albright; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; second wife Linda; brothers – Ismah and Russell (MaryJo) Albright; and brother-in-law – Leonard Stigall.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Munising Wesleyan Church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.  Pastor James Petersen will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

There will be Graveside Services for Richard on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore.
