He was born on November 12, 1934 to the late Oliver and Edith (Chartier) Froberg. Dick was raised in Christmas and went to grade school in AuTrain. He was a graduate of Wm. G. Mather High School in 1952. Dick enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He married Arlene Monette on September 29, 1956 and together they raised their three sons. Dick worked for Toebe’s Superior Storage for many years, he then managed the O.K. Auto store for many years before finishing his career with the team at NAPA Auto. He was a great mechanic and could fix anything on your car. Dick bowled and golfed in leagues, loved hunting, fishing, and camping with the boys when they were young at Pete’s Lake. Dick would spend hours pulling the kids on water skis and even towed their dog Puffy on a surfboard. He also looked forward to his hunting trips to Colorado. He enjoyed watching his boys play sports and was involved in their programs when they were young and cheered them on as they got older playing for the Mustangs. Dick also loved watching his grandkids in sports and had a blast following Logan’s hockey career.
