 Robert “Robbie” A. Manahan, age 36, of Munising, died unexpectedly, Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born in Bonita Springs, Florida on March 15, 1988 to Jack and Susan (Curtis) Manahan. Robbie grew up in Wetmore, spent a lot of time in Florida fishing the oceans and in Orchard Mesa, Colorado on the western slope of the Rockies before returning to his hometown of Munising. He worked alongside with Mike and Lee Denman at Intensified Wood Restoration for many years and viewed the Denmans, Mike, Toni, Lee and Becca to be family. Almost daily, Robbie and Nikki went on fishing dates, and they were hooked from their very first outing! Finally, after many years of being together Robbie and Nicole Henschel tied the knot on June 11, 2022. Robbie was a class clown, goofy, a big kid at heart, loving to laugh at even the small things. He was always fishing all the spots in good weather and the worst and have endless stories! He really enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, cooking and showing off his skills! 

 He is survived by his wife – Nicole Manahan of Munising; stepchildren – Madalin Henschel of Chatham, Danial Casteel of Munising, and Kaylee Casteel of Manistique; father – Jack Manahan; sister – Valerie Manahan and nieces – Julia, Natalie, Aubrey, and Savanah; in-laws – David and Jill Henschel; sister-in-law– Katherine Henschel; aunts - Nancy, Bonnie, and Marlene and their familes; uncles - Scott and Robert and their families; dear friends – Mike Schierschmidt, Kyle Storm, Emily Tongusi, Ryan Write, the Denman’s, and many other good friends and fishing buddies. Robbie was preceded in death by his mother Susan Curtis and mother-in-law Aleta Henschel.

A memorial service will take place at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. with the service starting at 2:00 p.m.
