Robert “Bob” Wallace, age 82, of Escanaba and formerly of Munising, died early Monday morning, April 8, 2019 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.  He was born on November 25, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Lorne and Beatrice (Bradley) Wallace.  Bob graduated from Redford High School and attended Wayne State University before serving in the U.S. Army.  He served in Germany and England and took courses at Cambridge.  Bob married Marjorie Dains in 1963 and they raised their daughter, Kim.  He worked in Southfield for an electronic manufacturer representative.  Bob and his family moved to Buffalo, NY in 1966 and he worked at Radio Equipment Corporation in shipping and receiving and then managed their store.  He sold Prudential insurance for Continental Real Estate and then worked sales for Crosstown Electronics.  Bob spent eight years at the Roman Ellis Restaurant in Hamberg, NY and then Uncle Joe’s Diner where he was awarded “Employee of the Year.”  Bob returned to Michigan in and moved to Munising in 2000.  He worked as an information specialist for the Chamber of Commerce.  Bob was a member of the 13th Menwith Hill Association and he enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

Bob is survived by his daughter – Kim Wallace of Escanaba; two granddaughters – Erica and Amanda; two great grandchildren – Matthew and Colin; sister – Virginia Allen of Marine City, MI; and former son-in-law Kevin Younger.   Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
