Robert Bagley West

Sundell

Robert Bagley West, age 78, of Sundell, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home in Sundell.  He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on August 26, 1940 to the late Byron and Helen (Bagley) West.  Bob was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1960.  In 1965, he moved his family to the U.P. for work opportunities.  He began working with Prepakt Concrete Company and then became and iron worker through the Local 8 out of Marquette.  His work brought him to projects at the Tilden Mines, AuTrain Basin Dam, Hoist Dam, Lambeau Field, and the Mackinaw Bridge.  Bob enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his beloved poodle Tosha who was his best friend for the past seventeen years.

He is survived by his children – Terri Lynn (Terry) Michael of Lake Delton, WI, Brian Keith (Karen) West of Treasure Island, FL, Karen Ann West of Jacksonville, FL, and Deanna Helen (Butch) Driese of North Freedom, WI; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers – Ken West, Jack West, and Kurt (Ellen) Fullmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents and son Howard West.
