Ronald Alexander Macdonald

Ronald "Ron" Alexander Macdonald, age 63, of Manistique, died at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising on Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born on March 18, 1951 in Detroit to the late Alexander and Aida (Kalotta) Macdonald. Ron graduated from Cooley High School in 1969 and attended Wayne State University. He worked in the Detroit area. Ron met Linda McGuigan and together they spent twenty-five years together. They moved to the U.P. fifteen years ago and enjoyed spending time at their home in the woods. Linda recently preceded Ron in death in May of this year. Ron enjoyed fishing, golfing, and photography.
He is survived by his sons - Ryan Macdonald of Farmington Hills, MI and Brent Macdonald of South Lyon, MI; granddaughter - Samantha; brothers - Alan (Ellen) Macdonald of Decorah, IA, Barry (Anneliese) Macdonald of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Roger (Sheila) Macdonald of South Lyon, MI; and nieces and nephew - Lauren, Rachel, Abbe, Adam, Christine, and Lindsey. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and Linda.
Private family services were held.
