Grand Marais
Ronald C. Wilson, age 90, of Grand Marais, died on Monday morning, November 19, 2012 at the Masonic Pathways Assisted Living Center in Alma, Michigan where he had resided the past year. Ron was born on January 1, 1922 in Clare, Michigan to Cecil and Nella (Russell) Wilson. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and worked forty-one years for Ex-Cell-O Corporation as a Quality Control Manager. Ron was a life member of the Free & Accepted Masons - Zion Lodge #1, Consistory Scottish Rite and Shrine all in Detroit. He was widowed by his wife, June Palmer, in 1978 and he moved to Grand Marais from Troy in 1980. Ron loved being able to hunt and fish in Grand Marais, but he enjoyed his winters in Englewood, Florida.
He is survived by his nephew Craig Meldrum of Brighton, MI and four nieces Rene Meldrum, Lynn Richey, Gerre Lou Muller, and Marilyn Smith. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife June, brother Don Wilson, and sister Joan Meldrum.
