Rose Ann Langevin, age 90, of Wetmore, died on Tuesday morning, October 26, 2021 at Medilodge in Munising. She was born on March 3, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Corbett and Etta (Maybe) Hinds. Rose Ann grew up in the Detroit area. She married Melvin Langevin on September 23, 1950 in Detroit and honeymooned in Munising. Rose Ann was a homemaker and raised their four children. She was a talented cake decorator on the side. After the kids went to school, Rose Ann went to work at Ma Bell, SBC, and then Ameritech as in the drafting and tech departments. After retirement, she and Mel moved to their summer home full time. Rose Ann was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar and Rosary societies. They enjoyed camping, bowling, and square dancing together. On December 30, 2008, Mel preceded Rose Ann in death after fifty-eight years of a wonderful marriage. In recent year, Rose Ann especially enjoyed coffee time with friends, working puzzles, and coloring.
She is survived by two daughters – Linda (Ben) McGarey of Allenton, MI and Nanette (Ash Quiroz) Langevin of Detroit and grandchildren – Benny McGarey, Melissa McGarey, and Cody Quiroz. Rose Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mel, sons Mark and Donald Langevin, and brothers Bobby and Vernon Hinds.
