Ruth E. Norlin, age 84, of Munising, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her home in Munising. She was born on August 6, 1930 in Munising to the late John and Lila (Winter) Hebert. Ruth graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1948. She worked for a short time at the Cox Chevrolet, where she met her husband Donald C. Norlin. They were married on June 4, 1954 and together they raised Don's children Linda and Charles and their son John. Ruth was a longtime volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul and a member of Eden Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and baking, and loved walking in the woods.
Ruth is survived by her son John (Jeanine) Norlin of San Diego, CA; Don's children - Linda (Joe) Niedzwiecki of Munising and Charles (Karen Sundell) Norlin of Marquette; four grandchildren - Chris, J.B., Stuart, and Sara; siblings - Chester (Joy) Hebert, Patricia (Earl) Lindeblad, Robert (Mary) Hebert, and Bonnie Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Don and parents John and Lila.
