Sharon Marie Lovins, age 74, of Munising, died January 6, 2018 at Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on July 30, 1943 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late Arthur and Lillian (Payment) Stephens. Sharon attended Loretto Catholic Central High School in Sault Ste. Marie. She then graduated from cosmetology school. On June 20, 1977, Sharon married Lee Allen Lovins. They moved to Munising in the early 1980’s with their son Andrew. Sharon enjoyed doing hand crafts, and was a member at Sacred Heart Church. She was a longtime resident of Superior Health Haven and then Tendercare.
Sharon is survived by her son Andrew Lovins of Marquette, brothers Arthur Stephens of Traverse City, MI, Robert (Katy) Stephens, and Don (Penny) Stephens of Munising, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Stephens and Lillian Stephens-Kennedy, and husband Lee.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 12:10 p.m. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
