Stanley Chilicki of Gladstone and formerly of Trenary, passed away due to a car accident on Friday, January 7, 2022 in Delta County at the age of 68. He was born on July 19, 1953 in Munising, the son of Benjamin and Mildred (Salisbury) Chilicki. Stan graduated from Trenary High School in 1972. He loved to have his morning coffee at the gas station in Trenary where he kept everyone entertained with his jokes, funny stories, and making some people’s day with his friendly smile. Stan loved helping friends and people he just met. If you needed anything, you could just ask Stan. He was a loving and kind person. After retiring from the Trenary Sawmill, he moved to Gladstone, Michigan where he met more wonderful people. Stan enjoyed going to breakfast and lunch, and just hanging out spending time looking at Lake Michigan. He loved talking to and visiting with his sisters.
Stanley is survived by his sisters – Mary Maynard, Louise (Delos) Byrne, and Helen (Gerald) Kocourek; sister-in-law – Waltrud Chilicki; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friend, Joy, and many other wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Mildred Chilicki; sister Anna Warden, brother Charles Chilicki, brothers-in-law Edward Maynard and Joseph Reickman; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to niece, Loretta Kramer for all of her help. Stanley will be loved and missed more than words can say.
Graveside services will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:00 A.M.
