Stephanie Welsh passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the age of 93. She was born on January 3, 1918 in Van Meer, Michigan to Louis and Lempi Marcelon. She married Emmett Welsh in 1935. They had five children. Stephanie spent most of her life in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area where she worked for Dove Health Care for many years. After her retirement, she returned to Shingleton, Michigan where she lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Virgil Wright. When Mary's health began to decline, Stephanie assisted her in her daily health needs for many years. After the deaths of Mary and Virgil, Stephanie lived with her niece, Maryann (Alan) Robinson of Shingleton, Michigan who provided her with a warm and loving home. In her younger years, Stephanie enjoyed playing the organ, doing crosswords, picking blueberries and cross-country skiing. Throughout her life she had an active interest in current events. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Stephanie is survived by her children - Robert (Gayle) Welsh, Michael (Vickie) Welsh, Kathleen (Angelo) Armendariz and Patricia (James) Kucera; grandchildren - Patrick, Jackie, June, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Scott, Ryan and Andrew; several great-grandchildren; as well as nieces - Joanne (Joe) Pelletier, Carolyn (John) Kolbus and Maryann (Alan) Robinson. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband Emmett, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Virgil Wright, son James Welsh and her nephew Virgil "Bud" Wright.
At Stephanie's direction there will not be any memorial services.
