Terrance John Malone

Terrance John Malone, 90, of Oswego, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family.

Cherished husband of Janice. Devoted father of Steven, Michael (Debbie), Terry Jo (Tony) Cunningham, Dan, Dawn (Mary), and Annelle (Jason) Mitchell.

Beloved son of Cluen and Anne Malone. Dear brother of Dan and Paddy Malone.

Terry was preceded in death by his son, Dan, grand-daughter, Kelti, son in-law, Jason, and his parents.

Terry was born February 1st, 1935 to Cluen and Anne Malone in Munising, MI. He grew up in Munising, MI and graduated from Munising High School in 1953.

Terry enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and served for two years during the Korean War. He went on throughout his life holding a career as a meat-cutter until he retired at age 70.

Terry and Janice’s love story began in eighth grade and they dated when he returned home from the army in 1956. The two later married on March 22nd, 1957 in Marquette, MI.

Terry and Janice raised their six children in Oak Park, IL. They share many beautiful and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Terry was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and playing cards, and spending his time with his wonderful family. He was a strong and devoted family man and a friend to all. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with Terry’s loved ones and close friends to remember the incredible man that Terry was.
