Terri Lynn LeVeque

August 28, 1963 — April 17, 2025

Munising

Terri Lynn LeVeque, age 61, of Munising, died with her loving daughter, Carrie by her side on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025 at UPHS – Marquette. Although she struggled with chronic illnesses for many years, she died unexpectedly from medical complications. She was born in Munising on August 28, 1963 to Larry and Kay (Verbunker) LeVeque. During her early childhood, the family moved to Little Chute, Wisconsin and after twelve years returned home to Munising. Terri graduated from Munising High School in 1981. She married Tony Nettleton and together they raised their three children. While her kids were young, she attended Northern Michigan University and earned her LPN license. Terri worked for Marquette General Hospital in the cancer research department. Declining health forced her to leave the hospital, but she continued to serve as the Munising Township Deputy Clerk. Terri was diagnosed with dermatomyositis over twenty years ago. While enduring treatments, she continued to support others with the rare autoimmune disease. She coped with her disease, but it did not keep her down. Terri enjoyed fishing, hunting, shopping for her grandchildren, baking (she was known for her twinkie and angel food cakes), and baking herself in the sun on the beach. She was adamant about keeping a clean and tidy house. One of her greatest enjoyments was coffee…and the company she kept with her friends, mom, and special aunt Joan Lancour when visiting for hours during the coffee klatch. She and her longtime companion, Oliver “Ollie” Eltzroth, spent a lot of time in the woods fishing, taking rides, and searching for morels. She was heartbroken when he preceded her in death in December of 2022. Terri was a supportive and loving mother and grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. Terri was helpful…to anyone who needed help. She was always the first in line to support family or friends.

Terri is survived by her children – Christopher (Kora Mills) Nettleton of AuTrain, Carrie (Jamie) Kienitz of Munising, and Katie (Ben) Fulcher of Petoskey; grandchildren – Everett, Vera, Audree (C.J.), Kaylen, Tyler (Chelsie), Alayna (Elijah), Eva, and Emma; great-grandchildren – Paisley, Easton, Axel, and Archer; mother – Kay LeVeque; brother – Jeff LeVeque; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; former husband and his wife – Tony and Michael Ann Nettleton; and extended family on the Nettleton side who Terri remained close to. She was preceded in death by her father – Larry LeVeque; granddaughter – Scarlett Kienitz; companion and best friend – Ollie Eltzroth; parents-in-law – June and Don Nettleton; and grandparents – Mugs and Vic Verbunker and Margie and Jack LeVeque; and dear friend – Nancy Edgley.

Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2025. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Rodgers will conduct Terri’s memorial service at 7:00 p.m.
