Terry Lawrence Beauchaine, age 71, of Munising, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Munising on April 2, 1951 to the late William and Audrey (Bonevelle) Beauchaine.  Terry grew up in AuTrain and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in Munising in 1969.  He married Margaret “Margi” Niemi on June 30, 1973 at St. Therese Mission in AuTrain.  Terry was hired at Kimberly Clark in 1970 and worked as a Kimlon Sheeter and Assistant Repulper Operator before starting in the Waste Water Treatment Plant.  It was there that Terry was named Team Leader and WWTP Operator.  He retired from Neenah Paper in 2013 after 42 years of service.  In his younger years, Terry played for Archie’s Bar baseball team and managed the women’s softball team.  Terry loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and trying to hunt.  Terry was a big kid at heart, making people smile, collecting antique toys, and building R.C. airplanes with his friend Pete Benzing.  Terry would crash them, and Pete would put them back together.  He was a member of the Munising Lions Club, Moose Lodge, and Sons of the American Legion where he served as the adjutant.  Terry was an active and dedicated member of the American Legion Honor Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years – Margi Beauchaine of Munising; sons – Terry (Angelia) Beauchaine and Jeff (Cheri) Beauchaine both of Munising; grandchildren – Jordan (Keara), Molly (Ryan), Sydney, Selby, Maggie, Rylee, and Ryder; sisters – Carolyn (James) Steinhoff, Diane (Dan) Maki, Cindy (Pete) Selander, and Joyce (Jimmy) Beauchaine; brothers - William (Teresa “Trixie”), Joseph (Karen), Thomas (Barb), and Randy Beauchaine; brothers and sisters-in-law – Kathy Lakenen, JoAnn (Jim) Boyd, Carol Swanson, Lil (Pat) Savage, Lila (Bill) Lewis, and Barb Niemi; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and golden retriever – Buddy.  Terry was preceded in death by his son – Daniel Raymond Beauchaine; parents Bill and Audrey; in-laws – Elizabeth and Paavo Niemi; daughter-in-law – Nancy Beauchaine; sister – Patty (Gus) Marentette; brothers and sister-in-law – Bud Rose, Tom Lakenen, Gary Swanson, Joe Niemi, Paul Niemi, and Lorraine (Lee) Madosh; and beloved dogs – Tessa “Pooch” and Boomer.

Visitation will be at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Pastor Jim Rodgers will conduct Terry’s funeral service at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain where the American Legion Honor Guard will pay tribute to their dedicated fallen member.
