Theodore "Ted" B. Krietzky

Theodore “Ted” B. Krietzky, age 66, of Munising, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Munising Memorial Hospital.  He was born on January 21, 1956 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Charles and Geneva “Kitty” (Rawls) Krietzky.  Ted grew up in Hamtramck and Beverley Hills, MI before his family moved to Munising in 1969 to help their grandfather run the Superior Health Haven.  He was a member of the class of 1974.  Ted worked construction with Chris Goss for many years and was a talented builder.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.  Ted was gifted artist and made many beautiful stained-glass pieces, windows, and doors.  He was great uncle and loved his nieces and nephews.  Ted was never afraid to get down on the floor and play, laugh, and engage with them at their level.

He is survived by his brother - Mike Krietzky of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister – Sue (Krietzky) Minkin of Ironwood, MI; nieces and nephews – Brook (Rusty) Varn, Starr (Charlie) Rasmussen, Heather Lancour, Amby (Chris) Elkin, Jamie (Luis) Nebel, Jared (Amanda) Feltner, and Chris Krietzky; and many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  Ted was preceded in death by his parents – Charles and Kitty; brothers – David and Donald Krietzky; and brother-in-law – Roy Minkin.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
