Theresa Ann Williams, age 53, of Chatham, died unexpectedly from an aneurysm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Meeker, Colorado where she was working as a traveling medical technician. Theresa was born on December 21, 1961 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Ernie and Priscilla (Richards) Norberg. She grew up in Florida and when she was fifteen, her family moved to Sundell. Theresa graduated from Eben High School in 1979. She raised her daughter Loni and on April 28, 1983, Theresa married Dennis Alan Williams. The family moved to Florida in 1985 and Theresa worked in a veterinary office. Because of her kind soul and love of animals, it was a perfect job for her. In 1991, her family returned north and Theresa earned her Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science from Northern Michigan University. She worked at Munising Memorial Hospital and St. Francis in Escanaba. During those years, Theresa and Dennis also owned and operated the Snack Bar in Eben from 2003 - 2008. In 2010, Theresa began traveling as a med tech. She worked from the Arctic Circle to the Caribbean and many places in between. Theresa enjoyed fishing, camping, hosting family get-togethers, traveling, hanging out with family and friends, drinking her coffee, flower gardening, yearly shopping with her two best friends Cynthia and Denise, and she was "Queen" of all board games. Theresa had a kind and generous heart.
She is survived by her husband of almost thirty-two years - Dennis Williams of Chatham; daughter and son-in-law - Loni and Leo Burnett of Trenary; grandson - Collin Burnett of Trenary; father and stepmother - Ernie and Mary Norberg of Mesa, AZ; stepfather - Manny Kolsin of Marquette; sister - Tina Norberg of West Palm Beach, FL, brothers - John Norberg of Marquette and David (Mary Beth) Norberg of Eben; mother-in-law - Sarah Williams of Marquette; siblings-in-law - Jerry (Dawn) Williams, Linda (Bob) Lancour, Pam Nebel, and Karen (Todd) Beckwith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by her mother - Priscilla Kolsin, brothers Ernie, Danny, and Scotty Norberg, sister-in-law - Cathy Williams, and father-in-law - Sonny Williams.
Services will be held at the Sion Lutheran Church in Chatham on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Kelto will conduct Theresa's memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery later this year.
