Timothy Joseph Mitchell, age 46, of Wetmore, died Monday, July 14, 2014 in Munising Township. He was born on October 2, 1967 to Ronald and Cheryle (Line) Mitchell. Tim graduated from John Glenn High School High School in Westland, Michigan. He worked as a service technician in heating and cooling, and he was a talented auto body mechanic who was meticulous to details. Tim enjoyed collecting and working on slot cars and building their race cars the '72 Chevelle SS 454 and '72 Vega with his dad. Tim moved to the U.P. to be closer to his family about ten years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors, but still did not like U.P. winters. Tim's family and friends will miss the kindness he showed to everyone.
He is survived by his parents - Ron and Cheryle of Wetmore; brother - Brian Mitchell of Denver, CO; grandmother - Shirley Mitchell of Livonia, MI; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Bowerman Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 19 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Amy Skorupski will officiate Tim's funeral service at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m on Saturday.
