Velbert "Duck" Methot

Velbert "Duck" C. Methot, age 82, passed away March 23, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born December 20, 1928 to George and Georgiana (Perrault) Methot in Trenary, MI. Duck loved to play baseball, softball, bowl, and hunt. He worked for National Lock for thirty years, where he was a member of the Local UAW. Duck was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #3000, a devout Catholic, and a man who loved his family very much.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (David Rhoads) Walker; grandchildren, JaMecca Russell, Brenton Walker; and three brothers - Norman,Willard "Bill", and Arnold "Tiny". Duck was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine and granddaughter, MaLocka Gille, and siblings - Leona Chroge, Leonard, Ardith Munn, Leon, Lawrence, Harold "Manny", Geraldine Vadnais, and Russel.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. A committal service will begin at 2:15 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
