W. Margaret Kacso

W. Margaret Kacso, age 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her daughter's home in the early morning hours of December 15, 2008. She moved to Grand Marais nearly twenty years ago and was a kind and gracious lady. She was a member of the Women's Club and the United Methodist Church. Margaret enjoyed life and especially living in Grand Marais and her many friends there, her beautiful flowers, her vegetable garden, feeding the birds, attending Bible study, playing scrabble and pinochle, the weekly senior luncheons at the Rec Center, going to bingo, and the monthly bus trips to Marquette and Escanaba.
She is survived by two brothers and one sister, her son Frank Simon (Mayra) of Northridge, CA, her daughter Kathleen Corrello (Michael) of Grand Marais, two step-daughters and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her strong faith in God has enabled her to be a good Christian witness to all by the way she lived her life and by giving unconditional love to all.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any gifts of remembrance be given to the Memorial Fund of the Grand Marais United Methodist Church. A memorial service celebration of a life well lived will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Grand Marais.
