Warren Henry Kemp, age 75, of Munising, died at his home under the care of his wife and North Woods Hospice early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017. He was born April 4, 1941 in Jackson, Michigan to Henry and Margaurite (Lecee) Kemp. Warren graduated from high school in Jackson and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 – 1964. He worked at Kroger and then Michigan Bell as a lineman. Warren retired in the late 1990’s from AT&T where he had served as union president. He married Robin Mattson on December 13, 2007. Warren enjoyed shooting guns at different ranges, bird hunting, and spending time at the casino.
He is survived by his wife – Robin Mattson; two sons – Jay Kemp and Len Kemp; grandchildren – Zane, Lesley, and Andreya; great-granddaughter – Melody Grace; step children – Melissa Osborn and Leia Luepnitz; step grandchildren – Jesse Osborn, Jeremy Luepnitz, and Nate Luepnitz; parents-in-law – Gary “Bob” and Helen Mattson; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law – Gary Mattson and Elaine and Harry Robbins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family prayer services will be held.
