Rumely
Wendy Lynn Holm, age 52, of Rumely, died with her daughter at her side early Tuesday morning, December 10, 2019 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois following a four-year illness. She was born on April 7, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in the Wayne area. When she was around ten, Wendy moved to the U.P. and lived with her aunt. She met Howard Watson and they were married, adding another daughter, Ashlee to her family. Wendy and her girls moved to the U.P. and lived at her Papa’s farm where she worked. One winter day, she met the plow guy and she and Joe Holm were married on March 17, 2000. Wendy went to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier in Gwinn and Skandia and she loved her job, rarely missing a day’s work. She loved having and training German Shepherds and earned AKC awards when younger. Wendy also helped Ashlee rescue horses.
