William "Bill" Bari

Grand Marais William "Bill" Bari, age 85, of Grand Marais, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. He was born on September 19, 1928 in Toivola, Michigan to the late Matt and Anna (Pohiola) Bari. Bill was raised in the Copper Country and worked in the woods. He moved to Luce and Alger Counties as an adult and lived mostly in Grand Marais. In addition to working in the woods, Bill worked at the Sportsman's Restaurant. He enjoyed playing cards, watching the birds, attending First Lutheran Church and he loved cars. Bill is survived by his friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his parents. ***His funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Grand Marais on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery.***
